Gift Aid Offerings and the Weekly Collection.
We have received queries about the best way to continue to give money to St Mary's. We are very grateful that members of our community have realised the importance of continuing to support our priests here in Harborne and to cover the running costs of church and priory. We do understand that for some of you this is not a time when you have any spare money at all, and you are all in our prayers. However, if you are able to make an offering to St Mary's here are the details of our bank account.
Bank: NatWest, Harborne, Sort Code: 51-70-32, Account number: 40351599 , Account name: RC Archdiocese of Birmingham St Marys Priory Harborne.
If you can set up a standing order or make individual electronic payments that would be wonderful. If you prefer to write a cheque that can just be made out to "St Mary's Harborne" and sent to the priory ( St Mary's Priory, Vivian Rd, Harborne, B17 0DN), or put your money in an envelope and put it through the priory letterbox. Anything you can give will help to stop Fr John worrying about the bills!
If you do have Gift Aid and normally use weekly envelopes I would like to make sure I allocate all your offerings to you correctly. (This means we can be sure of getting the tax refund.) So please can I ask that, if you are planning to make direct payments, you e-mail me to let me know. Then we can look out for your donations on our bank statements as they come through. All I need is your name, you do not have to tell me how much you intend to give. My contact details are chris.hosty@btinternet.com
It will be very strange for all of us not to be able to meet together to worship in the weeks ahead. Remember that each priest will still say mass every day, as priests are doing all over the world. May God support us in these difficult times.
