This plaque, commemorating the Canonisation of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher, can still be seen in its original position on a wall at the rear of the old church behind the Piety Shop in the Entrance Foyer. Both were martyred by Henry VIII when they refused to accept that he was the “Head of the Church in England.”
