St. Mary’s is a “Live Simply” parish and is the recipient of the “Live Simply Award” since April 2015. We are still working to develop this award more widely throughout the parish.

We were particularly commended for:

  1. *   the work in solidarity with the poor in the widest sense,

  2. *    the involvement of both young and elderly in the work,

  3. *    the support for “St. Chad’s Sanctuary” for refugees and for St, Joseph’s Home for the Elderly,

  4. *    the strength of the CAFD group focussing on international poverty,

  5. *    the wide range of activities undertaken.

If you want to know more or would like to become more involved in any of the parish activities please do check out the list on the notice boards at the back of the church and make contact with someone listed.

Everyone is welcome to make enquiries about how they can help in the parish.
